Sistemi di pagamento SEPA da 1 febbraio 2014: lo scopo è quello di creare un mercato dei sistemi di pagamento armonizzato in area SEPA che offra strumenti di pagamento comuni – bonifici, addebiti diretti e carte – utilizzabili nei paesi aderenti con la stessa facilità e sicurezza su cui si può contare nel proprio contesto nazionale. Grazie alla SEPA le attuali differenze andranno a scomparire e nuovi strumenti di pagamento sostituiranno gli attuali strumenti nazionali.
La SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) è l’Area Unica dei Pagamenti in Euro nella quale i cittadini, le imprese, le Pubbliche Amministrazioni e gli altri operatori economici possono effettuare e ricevere pagamenti in Euro, sia all’interno dei confini nazionali che fra i paesi che ne fanno parte, secondo condizioni di base. diritti ed obblighi uniformi.
Dopo l’introduzione del SEPA Credit Transfer (il bonifico SEPA) e delle regole sulle carte di pagamento del gennaio 2008, oggi le novità riguardano gli addebiti diretti in conto (rappresentati in Italia dal RID ordinario e dal RID veloce), che consentono a chi deve effettuare pagamenti, come un’utenza telefonica, di farli addebitare direttamente sul proprio conto corrente alla scadenza prestabilita.
L’Addebito Diretto SEPA (SDD – SEPA Direct Debit) è il nuovo servizio che risponde a queste esigenze e che entro il 1 febbraio 2014 sostituirà gli omologhi servizi nazionali RID. Proprio grazie alla sua natura di strumento paneuropeo, il SEPA Direct Debit consentirà di gestire non solo i pagamenti nazionali ma anche di pagare, ad esempio, l’affitto della casa all’estero, oppure un gestore telefonico che opera in un altro paese.
La SEPA include 32 paesi:
– 15 paesi europei nella UE che utilizzano l’euro:
Italia, Germania, Francia, Spagna, Portogallo, Grecia, Austria, Finlandia, Irlanda, Paesi Bassi, Belgio, Lussemburgo, Slovenia, Cipro, Malta
– 12 paesi europei nella UE che utilizzano una moneta non euro sul territorio nazionale ma che utilizzano l’euro a livello internazionale:
Regno Unito, Svezia, Danimarca, Estonia, Lettonia, Lituania, Polonia, Repubblica Ceca, Slovacchia, Ungheria, Bulgaria, Romania
– 5 paesi europei extra UE che utilizzano una moneta non euro sul territorio nazionale ma che utilizzano l’euro a livello internazionale:
Islanda, Norvegia, Liechtestein, Svizzera, Principato di Monaco
