Locomotives auction in France. For the second time, Île-de-France Mobilités and Transilien SNCF Voyageurs are teaming up with Agorastore, an expert in the auctioning of public and corporate assets, and has 18 BB 27300 locomotives for sale.
Acquired from Alstom in the early 2000s, Île-de-France Mobilités and Transilien SNCF Voyageurs are looking to to sell them as part of the modernisation of the Île-de-France rolling stock fleet.
The sale stems from the two companies’ desire to promote the circular economy by repurposing these assets.
Locomotives in good condition
These are 18 ALSTOM locomotives were put into service between 2006 and 2008. They are still in good general condition and still have a service life of 20 to 30 years.
The online auction
The 18 locomotives can already be seen on the Agorastore platform and the sale will take place from 8 July to 11 July 2024. The starting prices range from €998,465 to €1,089,624, depending on the technical specifications of the locomotives. Interested professionals will be able to view the equipment during an initial visit for a general assessment, and if their interest is confirmed, they will be able to make a second, more comprehensive visit to the properties in June.
