Italia Convention Bureau. È stato presentato presso il Palazzo dei Congressi di Firenze il progetto di costituzione dell’Italia Convention Bureau, il nuovo organismo deputato a coordinare la promozione verso l’estero dell’Italia come sede di eventi di ogni tipologia.
La presentazione è stata condotta dalla Vice-Presidente di Federcongressi&eventi Carlotta Ferrari e dai Consiglieri esecutivi Paolo Novi e Adolfo Parodi.
È intervenuto anche Giovanni Bettarini, neoeletto Assessore al Turismo e allo Sviluppo economico di Firenze, che ha speso parole di alto apprezzamento per il progetto.
Al dibattito hanno assistito il Presidente Federcongressi&eventi Mario Buscema e Paolo Mazza in rappresentanza di Assohotel, che attraverso Confesercenti ha partecipato alla fase di stesura del progetto e del contratto.
Il progetto costitutivo dell’Italia Convention Bureau è stato realizzato da Federcongressi&eventi, Federturismo-Confindustria, Confesercenti-Assoturismo Confturismo-Confcommercio e Federalberghi.
«È un cambio di approccio culturale », ha considerato Carlotta Ferrari, «perché implica l’organizzazione autonoma da parte delle Imprese, la coesione di tutte le Associazioni e la razionalizzazione di ruoli e competenze tra Istituzioni e privati.
Ciascuno ha il suo ruolo: le Istituzioni, come Destination Marketing Organization, fanno promozione istituzionale, mentre la promozione dell’offerta nazionale è sostenuta, in coordinamento con le Istituzioni stesse, dai privati».
L’Italia Convention Bureau si costituirà come rete di imprese della durata di cinque anni, così da consentire numerosi vantaggi quali l’ingresso di partner anche in corso d’opera, agevolazioni importanti in fase di start-up e finanziamenti statali.
Il progetto di fattibilità, da cui discende la stesura del contratto, è stato realizzato a valle di precisi criteri di classificazione dell’offerta congressuale, così da riservare l’accesso e la partecipazione a strutture di provata qualità.
Variegata la mission: il Convention Bureau dovrà favorire opportunità di business, promuovere la destinazione Italia, coordinare e rappresentare l’offerta e diffondere la cultura MICE attraverso adeguata formazione.
La partecipazione sarà articolata per “destinazioni” e “venues” sull’esempio del Convention Bureau di Norvegia. Saranno suddivise su più livelli in base alle caratteristiche tecniche e all’attrattività, e ciascun livello corrisponderà a un grado di contribuzione annuale diverso: cinquemila euro per le destinazioni (CB territoriali o club di prodotto) e i poli congressuali oltre mille posti, duemila euro per i poli congressuali fino a mille posti e per gli alberghi con oltre 200 camere, mille euro per gli alberghi fino a 200 camere e le sedi congressuali minori, 800 euro per le agenzie PCO, le Destination Management Company, i catering e gli altri supplier che operano a livello sovraterritoriale.
Il Convention Bureau sarà diretto da un Presidente, eletto dall’Assemblea dei Soci (e in quota Federcongressi&eventi), e da un Comitato di gestione composto da otto persone nominate dalle imprese partecipanti alla rete ma indicate dalle associazioni di categoria, promotrici e garanti del progetto.
Organo sovrano è l’Assemblea dei partecipanti, che su indicazione delle associazioni nomina la governance, può revocarne uno o più dei componenti, approva il bilancio e l’eventuale revisione delle quote d’adesione. Il recesso sarà possibile ogni anno entro il 31 luglio. Le spese notarili (stimate in 1600 euro per ogni aderente) in questa prima fase verranno totalmente coperte dalle Associazioni.
Importante: il Convention Bureau non contrattualizzerà con il cliente finale, ma metterà i propri associati nelle condizioni di farlo.
Se la trattativa cliente-socio andrà a buon fine, nulla sarà dovuto al Convention Bureau.
